Whether you have started your own mastermind group or have joined an existing one, having clear guidelines and objectives is imperative.
We always suggest to create a short document with the group guidelines that will be handed out to each member. This way everybody who’s participating in the mastermind group knows exactly what are the objectives and what is expected from him or her.
Guidelines help to keep your group on track, they can describe the group objectives, structure and frequence of the meetings and mindset that is expected from the group members.
They can also be used by the group facilitator when speaking to a difficult member that needs to modify his behavior in order to stay in the group.
If you’re in an existing mastermind group but don’t have clear guidelines yet, why don’t you spend the next session on setting them up and getting everybody’s feedback on what they believe is important?
